POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE Your mindset is one of the most important aspects of your life. How you view yourself, other people, and the world will effect every part of your life. Whatever experiences you have been through, you have a choice... 1 - See, hear, and feel your life with a negative mindset. 2 - see, hear, and feel your life with a positive mindset.
You may think that this choice is not yours to make, and that would be understandable. Your point of view has been gradually developed from thoughts, feelings and actions that you have experienced in your life. Over time, after thousands of repetitions, these eventually develop into subconscious habits. This means that certain thoughts, feelings and actions are triggered again and again as you go about your daily life. Unfortunately, for many people, these subconscious habits can be of a negative nature, which, over time, can lead to a series of mental, emotional, and physical problems. For example... anxiety and stress can lead to anger which causes muscular tension and an inability to relax. Over time, this dis-ease leads to a gradual breakdown of the physical body. BUT... it doesn't have to be this way! It is possible to completely change your viewpoint to be far more positive. How, I hear you ask? Well, there are two great ways of developing a more positive mindset. 1 - One way is to think outside the box, or even get rid of the box entirely. This can be achieved by using your imagination. For example, see yourself from above and look down on your life. Think about how many of your opinions could be changed and improved. Rise higher and see your life from the point of view of the whole of society, your country, the planet. How important are your opinions from this height. Once we realise that our opinions aren't really important... we can begin to let them go! You can practise this powerful technique in your daily life, moment by moment. Catch yourself thinking, feeling, or being negative, take a deep breath and as you breathe out completely relax and just let it go! Over time, with constant practise, this will become a very powerful way of greatly improving your life. It will also benefit your family and everyone else that you come in contact with :) 2 - The other way is to remove negative actions from your life in a conscious way. Stop watching the news, reading newspapers, listening to the radio, and... anything negative. Most of the world's media focus on the bad stories that occur in life. But there are far more good stories, that just don't get reported. By taking control over what you see, hear, and read you can make a big difference. You can also stop spending so much time with people that make you feel bad. Yes this may also include family. But it is possible to look for the good in every situation... And Find It!
