What Is Aiki?
There are 1,000's of books, dvds, and videos on the martial art of Aikido. Many of them cover historical facts, philosophy, and basic techniques.
Of course, a serious study of techniques is very important to Aikido mastery. But, how can your techniques be more efficient and powerful with less effort? To answer these questions ask yourself...
"What did Morihei Ueshiba O-Sensei practise on a daily basis?"
The answer offers an insight into what the founder practised daily, and maybe more importantly... what he didn't!
O'Sensei said that the 2 secrets of Aikido are... misogi and kotodama.
Misogi deals with methods of purification of mind and body which are the essentials for a Healthy Lifestyle deep breathing, using water for inner and outer cleansing, eating healthy organic food, beneficial exercise, experiencing good sleep and learning
how to completely relax.
Kotodama deals with sound vibrations, and how chanting certain sounds Balance and Harmonise your body, mind, and spirit. Kotodama is the origin of spirit and substance, that divides into yang/fire energy and yin/water energy. The opposing force that holds the two together is ki.
Do you want unique step-by-step info on Misogi and Kotodama?
There are 3 methods of training...
1 - Learning techniques.
2 - Analyzing posture and form.
3 - Studying principles.
Many Aikido instructors only actively teach the first two. Why? They only feel qualified to teach what they have been shown by their instructor.
I have had many excellent teachers over the years, but always wondered why it took so long to develop real skill. So I made an intense study of all aspects of Aikido and many
of the related aiki and healing arts.
I discovered that its possible to speed up the learning process by focusing on the aiki principles that make the techniques work.
I have been studying this for years and it has given me an insight into exactly how to fast-track your training to become an Aikido expert.
I made many notes along the way as I discovered more principles, and after years of pressure testing I have developed a unique ebook software collection that will show you How To Increase Your Skills
Past and Present Aiki Masters
This leads us on to real Aiki Power...
How can you develop it?
There is a community on the aikiweb site that have been discussing this for several years. I have been following these discussions very closely, and it is very difficult to learn the true Aiki as taught by Masters.
Who had real aiki power?
There were several students of the founders teacher, Master Sokaku Takeda, who were taught these unique aiki skills including...
Morihei Ueshiba - Kodo Horikawa - Yukiyoshi Sagawa
Morihei went on to found aikido that gained popularity around the world. Kodo and Yukiyoshi taught small groups of students that continue to pass on their skills. For more information visit... Daito-ryu aikijujutsu
Who can help YOU study Aiki Power today?
There are many excellent instructors who have made an intense study of these rare aiki
skills. The following offer you some of the leading teachers today. Please bear in mind that this is not an exhaustive list.
One common denominator is that, like the past masters, they all practise hours of daily solo exercises away from the dojo environment.
Dan Harden - Hiroshi Ikeda - William Gleason - George Ledyard - Howard Popkin - Ellis Amdur - Chris Lee - Mike Sigman - Minoru Akuzawa.
These are just a few for your research. At the Aikido Health Centre, I will be including a webpage for each of these and many other masters of Aiki.
So what skills do you want to develop?
1 - lots of movement that has little effect on uke.
2 - little movement that has massive effect on uke.
Developing a true aiki body takes years of disciplined solo training. A massive commitment that few people are willing to make. You see it is a trade-off... lots of time and effort in exchange for rare
skills!
You may want to take on this enormous task!
