AIKIDO THE WAY OF HARMONY
An excellent way to 'experience' harmony and balance in our lives is to practise the Martial Art of Aikido. This is an Art of Peace that develops in us an acute awareness of our surrounding environment, the ability to be calm, focused, relaxed and centred.
Aikido was founded by Morihei Ueshiba (1883-1969), who gained the skill to control many attackers at will. He was also regarded as the most spiritual person in Japan and spent much of his later years in study, prayer and contemplation.

So what’s the secret to keeping your sparkle way into 2006? Read on... our energy boosting pick-me-ups will help you get through dreary January with the same get-up-and-go gusto you enjoyed last month!
Rise and shine
If you want long-lasting energy from dusk till dawn, it’s vital you refuel your body with a healthy, hearty breakfast every day. And we’re not talking a stacked high fry-up, all that fat will have you flagging by lunchtime. Instead, why not have a breakfast of wholemeal toast with poached eggs, and a banana cut-up over wholegrain cereal. Cut out the coffee and try herbal tea or hot water with lemon to rid your body of those harmful toxins left over from last month’s celebrations. Don’t stop moving
What better way to kick off a new year than with a bit of healthy exercise? Slumping around won’t do you any favours - but just 30mins of moderate exercise a day will help you fight the seasonal blahs. A winter workout will stop sluggishness, kill stress, fight depression, help you sleep better, keep you bursting with energy and shift those unwanted Christmas pounds. Join a gym; go for a brisk walk or an early-morning jog. If the weather outside is frightful, there are plenty of ways to energise without leaving the house. Sex (as long as it’s safe!) is a saucy way to feel less stressed and more energetic. Even playing your favourite tunes while you house-work-out will leave you flushed, revitalised and ready for anything. Office energy
It can be pretty soul-destroying returning to the office after the Christmas holidays, especially if you’re suffering from the post-festive fatigues. Early mornings and long days can leave you tired, sluggish and lacking in conversation. But these simple pick-me-up techniques mean you’ll soon get your office sparkle back!
Start the day with a glass of ice-cold water, the cold fluid will shock your system into alertness. Go for a brisk walk around the block to boost your energy, climb some stairs or even do a few simple stretches at your desk to get the blood flowing. It might even be worth asking your boss or co-workers if you could have a radio? Some upbeat music in the office could help put a spark in your day.

Where-ever you live you may be aware that the Government of your Country do not care about your health, your local councillors are uninterested in you as a person, your individual GP doesn't know you or care about your welfare. The local 'Supermarket', where you purchase your foods care more about their profits, Even your family members, who are supposed to love you, will not stop you cramming dangerous chemicals down your throat.
This may seem a rather harsh message to begin the new year, but is ultimately the TRUTH. Why? Well the fact is that everyone is totally concerned about themselves, not you. We all have a number of things we must achieve each and every day, but do not have the time to do them all. Our 'TO DO' list is always full, clear some and more appear, and so on until our lives end.
This tends to put us in one of two camps...
1) Completely over-whelmed by the unlimited tasks ahead of us leading to depression and negativity, a feeling of giving up.
2) A vain attempt to carry out all the tasks as they appear, making us super-efficient, self-absorbed, and selfish, leaving no time for the concerns of other people.

POSITIVE ACTION THE WAY FORWARD
Most 'Big Brother' Governments and Industrial Giants are concerned with only one thing... CONTROL of our lives and the vast financial profits we work hard to give them. After all they are not 'Value Producers' but 'Value Takers' who sit at the top of the pyramid doing 10% of the work and taking 90% of the profits.
My local supermarket is nearly always packed with people, rushing about, buying all the rubbish that advertising giants tell them to... in fact there are only three very small sections that offer healthy 'ORGANIC FOOD'.
How are we supposed to protect ourselves when we are surrounded by chemicals, insecticides, pesticides, damaging additives to our foods, too much salt, sugar, fats, and hidden dangers in our food, air, water, and environment.
It really is time to open our eyes wide, see the reality of our situation here on planet Earth and DO something about it. If we are not part of the solution, then we are part of the problem. We can be like sheep waiting to be herded here or there by the 'Control Freaks' or we can take responsibility for our own future NOW, before its too late.
